Parish Council Meetings 11th May 2020

Meetings and workings of Yapton Parish Council

At the present time there are no urgent matters which require the attention of the Parish Council. I will keep under review the position if any major / sensitive planning applications are received where a meeting of the planning committee needs to be held in public to consider any response to Arun District Council. Routine applications can be dealt with under our current procedures.

I have discussed the matter of future meetings with the Chairman, and we are of the view that meetings due to be held on the 11th May 2020 be cancelled and that we keep the situation under review. Although public meetings are currently not scheduled to take place, parishioners/residents can contact me by phone or e-mail or contact parish councillors to discuss any current issues/concerns that they may have, and that parish council activities are continuing to operate in the best way possible taking into account the current situation we find ourselves in.

The draft minutes of the meeting held on the 9th March can be found under the minutes section on this website.

The Parish Council is operating and aiming to provide all of its usual activities. Please remember to observe social distance requirements when exercising on the King George V Playing Field, and remember the Children’s Play area, Outside Gym equipment and the hard court games area should not be used at the present time.
