Referendum – 12th September 2023
The Referendum to deal with the question “Do you want Arun District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Yapton to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?” was held at the Yapton and Ford Village Hall on Tuesday 12th September.
The Result was declared by Arun’s Deputy Counting Officer following the close of Poll.
Voting Yes – 484 (91.15%)
Voting No – 46 (8.66%)
Spoilt Papers – 1
Electorate – 4300
Turnout – 12.35%
The Deputy Counting Officer declared that more than half of those voting have voted in favour of the Yapton Neighbourhood Plan.
The date of the Arun Dsitrict Full Council meeting to "make" (agree to) the Plan is likely to be the 8th November 2023 later.
