PLANNING APPLICATIONS

The Planning Committee had before them and considered the following planning application and resolved as indicated:-

Change from packing shed to light industrial/storage

Fresh Acres Nurseries Yapton Lane Walberton For: Fresh Acres Nurseries Limited OBJECTION

1) The change in use from packing shed to light industrial/storage could lead to an increase in heavy vehicles using North End Road.

2) North End Road is a residential road which leads through to the A27 road; any increase in vehicle movements particularly heavy goods vehicles is undesirable and would be detrimental to the quality of life of local residents.

3) The local primary school is situated in North End Road; the area around the school is already congested with vehicles at the beginning and end of the school day; at other times there is evidence of vehicles exceeding the speed limit and using the road as a “rat run” to the A27.
