YAPTON PARISH COUNCIL
PLANNING COMMITTEE
5 August 2005 - At a meeting of
the Planning Committee held in Yapton.
Present: Mr
Faulkner (Chairman), Mr Andrews, Mrs Barnes, Mr Fellows and Mr Jones.
PLANNING
APPLICATIONS FOR YAPTON
The Planning Committee had before them and
considered the following planning application(s)
and resolved
as indicated:-
|
Y/54/05/ |
1 no. two bedroom dwelling. |
Rosemead Bilsham Road Yapton
OBSERVATIONS |
Resolved That the restoration of the present visual
imbalance which the proposed extension would achieve is commendable. If
the finish on the outside of the proposed and existing building were returned
to brick to match the adjoining property this would make the restoration
complete.
The adjacent Bilsham
Road has a steady flow of traffic and regular bus service. As there are no
additional parking facilities proposed there are concerns that
this will lead to on street parking by the future occupants of the extended
property which will obstruct the free movement of traffic and cause congestion
when traffic levels are high. This would also be a safety hazard for adjacent
householders due to the poor sighting such a situation would create when they
wish to make vehicle movements.
