PLANNING APPLICATIONS FOR YAPTON

The Planning Committee had before them and considered the following planning application(s)

and resolved as indicated:-

Y/44/05/

14 no. 2 and 3 bedroomed houses with new access road, off site highway works and associated development.

Land adjacent to Wayside

Burndell Road

Yapton

       OBSERVATION

Resolved – Whilst the Parish Council has no objections regarding the proposal for development, there are concerns that drainage of the site may be inadequate and lead to flooding.  It is suggested that perhaps an assurance could be sought from the developer that serious consideration has been given to the provision of adequate drainage at this location.

In view of the number of new dwellings proposed, the Parish Council would also wish to seek an appropriate contribution from the developer towards the cost of providing/maintaining play facilities for younger members of the community by way of a commuted payment under Section 106.
