PLANNING
APPLICATIONS FOR YAPTON
The Planning Committee had before them and
considered the following planning application(s)
and resolved
as indicated:-
|
Y/64/04/CLE |
Application for a Certificate of Lawfulness for an existing use use as woodyard with hard standing for vehicles associated with the use and stationing of three caravans. |
Land at Cinders Lane Off Bilsham Road Yapton OBSERVATION |
The Committee heard from local residents who
were concerned about the planned development which was taking place on the
Cinders Lane site.
Resolved That a letter be sent to
the Planning Officer of Arun District Council outlining the concerns of local
residents and drawing attention in particular to the fact that the applicant
appeared in breach of planning regulations with regard to (a) the hard surfacing
on the land and (b) the height of the metal posts which supported an entrance
gate to the site and seeking an assurance that the Council would enforce these
infringements by ensuring appropriate planning permission was sought.
|
Y/65/04/ |
Conversion of the existing retail unit into five cottages |
The Old Post Office site Main Road Yapton SUPPORT |
Resolved That full support be given to the
application as it would lead to a vast visual improvement to the premises which
were presently used for retail purposes; it would provide a more attractive welcome
to the village from the west and it would also improve road safety at this
location as there should be no need for vehicles to be parked unsafely with the
change in use.
