PLANNING APPLICATIONS FOR YAPTON

The Planning Committee had before them and considered the following planning application(s) and resolved as indicated:-

Erection of 2 No. houses with associated parking and landscaping

3 Cherry Avenue Yapton For: Otona Properties Limited Case Officer: Mrs A Gardner OBJECTION

The reasons for the objection were as follows:

1) The site has a 14 metre frontage and to attempt to “squeeze” two additional properties in this location would be an over development;

2) All other existing surrounding properties are detached on similar or larger plots and whilst “infill” development should be encouraged rather than large scale development on greenfield sites, it is considered inappropriate at this location because the proposed development does not match existing properties in terms of space.
