Lake Lane

Barnham

  OBJECTION

The reasons for the objection were as follows:

1)      If approved, the proposed development would effectively close the strategic gap between Barnham and Yapton;

2)      The development would cause light pollution of the surrounding area;

3)      The increase in heavy vehicular traffic as a result of the development, on the existing unsuitable infrastructure, would be unacceptable;

4)      Lake Lane has recently seen a major increase in large vehicle movements, in particular articulated vehicles, serving the many greenhouses in this area,   The Council has concerns about road and rail safety with such vehicles at Yapton level crossing when arriving or departing from Lake Lane.

      5)  The change in siting of the road access is unsatisfactory being closer to adjacent

             housing and unfavourable to local residents.
