YAPTON PARISH COUNCIL

MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE HELD ON

22nd May 2002

Present:    David Ranceford-Hadley (Chairman), Peter Bryant, Michael Fellows, Stephen Haymes, Merle Palmer and Gary Tompsett.

The Planning Committee had before them and considered the plans relating to the following applications, which had been submitted to the Planning Officer of Arun District Council, and RESOLVED as indicated: -

PLANNING APPLICATION No.   Y/37/02

Erection of two storey detached three bedroom dwelling and demolition of storage building and erection of double garage – Land off Bilsham Lane, Bilsham

That an objection to the application be submitted to the Planning officer of Arun District Council on the following grounds:

1.  This is a sensitive site and development has previously been refused.

2.  Bilsham Lane is a twisting, narrow, single track with no footpaths or passing-bays.

3.  The site is outside the development area.

4.  Such a development would not only be a departure from the local plan but would

threaten the gap between Yapton and Flansham by virtue of the precedent it

      would set.

PLANNING APPLICATION No.    Y/39/02

Change of use from agricultural land to form part of garden – Red Barn Cottage and land to east side of Hoe Lane, Flansham

No objection.

PLANNING APPLICATION No.   Y/41/02

Outline application for residential development – Land to the west of Kings Close, Yapton

No objection.
